Definition:
Animatu 2008 – international digital animation festival is going to occur
from October 15 to 19 at Pax Julia – Municipal Theatre of Beja
(PORTUGAL). Along with this festival we will have the 1st Demoscene
Competition.

Single
Category
Executable program of realtime audiovisuals, maximum size limit of 25MB,
maximum playing time of 12 minutes. Open to all different platforms and
operating systems.

Conditions:
·
The registration is limited to 2 works for participant.
·
The works must have been produced after
1st
January 2007 and had never before been selected to this competition.
·
There is no specific topic for the films, although the organization will
not accept any message that attempts against the elementary values of the
human being.
·
The program cannot have material (sound and image) of a third party with
author’s rights without proper authorization.
·
The
program cannot be based in video capture.
·
The program
must not contain malware or other malicious code that
attempts to alter system configuration.
·
The program must quit by pressing ESC.
·
The program must lauch and run properly
from read-only media.

Jury:
·
The 20 best works from the submitted will be (pre-)selected by a Jury
Committee. Followed by an evaluation of an Oficial Jury
who will choose the winners.
·
The Jury may choose no film if there are no quality works.
·
The decisions of the Jury are definitive.

Prizes:
1st Prize: 500 euros.

You must send a link to download the submitted work to the email
demoscene@festivalanimatu.com, along
with the entry form correctty
filled in and signed (PDF).
For
programs of less common platforms or operating systems, it's additionaly
required the submission of a full length video capture of the program
running as intended on the required platform.

Notes:
·
Taking part in the festival implies acceptance without restrictions of
these regulations.
Any possible
doubt or question that may arise has to be presented by an exposure
letter sent to the
Organisation
Committee.
